Meet my portrait of Sheriff Pat Garrett. The man that took a wild shot in the middle of the night and hit Billy the Kid dead in the heart.

New painting! I found this old picture of Sherriff Pat Garrett. He's the man that shot Billy the Kid, right through the heart and in the dark no less. The original taker of the shot in the dark. Later he became a Captain of the Texas Rangers and bffs with Teddy Roosevelt. Then, he squandered all his money and was shot by a cattle rustler in a saloon.
