I read this article about more people in urban areas choosing to raise their own chickens for organic eggs and meat. So, this strutting rooster is in Seattle.

I'm getting one.

Jeanne de Valois

The final-ish. Crit tomorrow with some possible changes ensuing after. I need to practice up on my painting shiny diamonds and stones and surfaces.

Working it out.

The piece is based on Jeanne de Valois who created quite a scandal for the french monarchy right before the revolution. She claimed she was a close confidant/ lover of Marie Antoinette's in order to obtain money and favors from the Cardinal. Not nice at all but really daring.
